The UK has pledged to send another £100 million worth of weapons to Ukraine following Putin’s ‘unconscionable’ attack on a railway station where people were evacuating.

Boris Johnson said the strike on a transport hub in the city of Kramatorsk, which killed dozens of people, showed the ‘depths’ to which President Vladimir Putin’s army has ‘sunk’.

At a joint press conference with the German Chancellor, he said the Europe we knew six weeks ago ‘no longer exists’.

He said Britain would be sending more ‘high grade military equipment’ to Ukraine’s armed forces, including Starstreak missiles which can shoot down Russian planes.
